In Grade 3/4 our new genre for this term is Letter Writing. We have chosen to write to someone who we want to get to know more. It can be someone in our school community or someone from across the globe! Why do you think we write letters? Why is it important to add details and questions in your letters? Who have you chosen to write to? What are you hoping to find out about that person?

Thank you for posting this post up because I really enjoy letter writing because you get to know more about someone.
I think we write letters so we can communicate with people without using technology.
It is important to add detail and questions in our letters so they write back.

I really enjoy doing letter writing because you can write to famous people. I think we do letter writing because it helps us with our learning and to speak to people over seas that we dont know and we can become friends with. It is important to write a lot of detail and questions so the person that you write to understands your letter and might have things in common with you and you might become friends with. I have choosen chris brown to write to because i enjoy his songs. I would like to find out lots of things about him because i dont know that much about him because he is a celebrity.

I like our new topic for writing and I mostly like it because we get to really send it!
I think we write letters to communicate to people we don’t see every day. I also think it is important to add detail is because it makes the letter more exciting and not boring. I chose to write to Robert because he went on holiday and I don’t usually talk to him. I chose to write to Robert because want to find out about his trip to Fiji. Thank you so much for posting about letter writing because I really would like to tell everyone who I am writing to. I think we write letters to communicate with each other when their are hard times. You have to have details and questions to your letters because then the people who get it would not be bored when they read it. I have chosen to write to Barak Obama!
